Star Ferry

  • The Star Ferry is not only a cost effective mode of transportation, but also it is a world-famous sightseeing trip between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.
  • There are two routes: Tsim Sha Tsui ‹‹ ›› Central and Tsim Sha Tsui ‹‹ ›› Wan Chai.
  • These services across Victoria Harbour run daily from early morning till 11-11:30pm with a frequency every 6-20 minutes. The journey takes about 8-10 minutes.
  • Service Hours:
    Tsim Sha Tsui ‹‹ ›› Central: 6:30am – 11:30pm. Frequency: 6-12 mins.
    Tsim Sha Tsui ›› Wan Chai: 7:20am – 10:50pm (Mon – Sat); 7:30am – 10:50pm (Sun and P.H.).

Hong Kong Tramways

In 1904 the tramway line was opened and operates on the northern side of Hong Kong Island. It is the oldest modes of public transport in Hong Kong.  In 1904, Hong Kong Tramways had 26 tramcars, but today, after 100 years, it has the largest double-deck tram fleet in the world, and having more than 160 tramcars and carrying more than 200,000 passengers a day.
